A very wise First Lady of the United States once said, “When they go low, we go high!” A couple of years ago I experienced something in my work life that I felt was a low blow to me. I felt very upset because of this situation and wondered how could someone who is in a leadership capacity lack such professionalism.
As I meditated on this, the Holy Spirit dropped a word in my spirit.
Galatians 6:7-9 New International Version (NIV)
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
What a powerful scripture and reminder that even in the midst of our challenges, God is there. It is our responsibility to ALWAYS take the high road, regardless to how “low” someone may go in their thoughts and actions towards us. Now, this is not always easy to do. Our flesh seeks to retaliate to the indignity that it feels. However, the Bible declares that vengeance is the Lord’s and He will repay. Sowing and reaping is a spiritual principal that is ALWAYS in operation in the earth. Sow good and you will reap good! Sow evil and you will reap evil! Be encouraged today. God’s word doesn’t lie and it will surely come to pass!
